I am a wife + a mother + hardcore entrepreneur.
I believe women can write their own story and create the dream business they desire.
I am also a full time homeschool teacher to my little girl. I don’t want to be at a 40 hour a week job. I want to be home with her, raise her and be fully present while still making money.
This Airbnb Biz has allowed me to do that. I’ll be honest, sometimes sh*t goes sideways and the cleaning lady cant make it one day and I have to go and clean the property. But honestly, that takes me an hour or two. That’s it. Not a huge deal (plus I save the $150 cleaning fee and pocket it myself. Sometimes I even tell my kid if she helps me clean i’ll give her $5 bucks LOL)
Absolutely! I have heard of others doing that successfully. I would just make sure you have someone IN that area (like a property manager or a friend or someone you can hire) who can be available if anything goes sideways. (aka, cleaning lady cant make it, the guest has a request and needs something, etc).
Like I mentioned before, you won’t be using any of your own money to start but if you want a ballpark idea numbers wise — I would say it cost about $5k for a one bedroom. $8k-10k for a two bed/two bed. $12-15k for a three bed/two bath.
